Summary
I talk about my experiences in the great outdoors to bring a greater sense of belonging and connection to others. These experiences include scuba, hiking, white water rafting, paddle boarding, caving, rock climbing, mountain climbing, kayaking, and more.
One of the tools I use to bring a greater sense of belonging and connection is through my framework to live a better life, called The 5 Keys To Greatness. This framework is simple to remember but has tremendous depth and applicability to our lives.
I initially discussed the idea of the 5 Keys in my book, The Little Book Of Greatness, which uses an easy to read parable to go over the 5 Keys To Greatness. It is my hope and desire that everyone is able to use the 5 Keys To Greatness to unlock their destiny, achieve their dreams, and live their best life possible.
I love talking about practically anything. I can discuss my own personal experiences, traumatic and otherwise, or tell your listeners about the 5 Keys To Greatness. I always love talking about the great outdoors, including my experiences out there and also including my certification as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR). I am happy to bring value to your listeners in any way I can.
Surprise me! Often those serendipitous moments are the best.

Biography
I experienced a traumatic event when I was only 10 years old, when a beloved teacher passed away while out hiking in the woods on a field trip. Unbeknownst to me, this event pulled me away from my most favorite place for years - the great outdoors.
Over the next few years, I fell in with the wrong crowds (I love them, but we were ALL making bad decisions). My teenage years include all types of experiences, including drugs, partying, run-ins with police, and more. This roller coaster of events ranged from lows to highs to extreme lows, all while figuring out the answers to life, the universe, and everything (got a towel?).
After living through this turmoil, I went into graphics and marketing as a career, and spent a little over a decade working in marketing, branding, graphic design and websites. I did this because I knew about the industry and felt I could make a go of it. I also did this in an attempt to "hide" my past and not address it - to not use my past to help others. This is a realization I made later, when I became more open about what I've been through to help others.
Eventually I found myself unfulfilled with what I was doing. I didn't enjoy the work. I spoke to a business coach to find the next step, and decided on public speaking and coaching (my journey there is a story in and of itself - ask). This would allow me to help people grow and find their best selves.
I shifted into the speaking and coaching sphere, which has been a roller coaster of learning experiences (happy to talk about it). Along the way I created a podcast, Way To Greatness (now on mostly permanent hiatus), and published a book, The Little Book Of Greatness, as well as a few kids books.
Shifting into speaking and coaching has helped me to align more with my passions, where I get to help people and also get to talk about the wilderness, one of my passions.
I have a wonderful wife and four little children at home, and dedicate my energy into creating impactful experiences for the people I interact with. I want all of us who are interested to be able to create the best life possible.

As an interviewer, I find the best remarks happen when the interviewee is NOT expecting the question. No prepared remarks, just raw, true self. So feel free to surprise me. If you want the typical talking points: 1. How did you get into motivational speaking? 2. What inspired you to write your book? 3. Why did you get into podcasting? 4. What are some of your biggest failures? How are you moving past them? 5. Who do you admire? Who do you think admires you? 6. What do you want to be when you grow up? 7. What happens when someone follows their dreams? 8. How can regular people find their own destiny? 9. Can you tell me what happened when you were ten years old? 10. Tell us about some of the jobs you've experienced.
