Jason Markowicz was active in sports and fitness all his life and played football at Saint Xavier University where he was a three-year All-American wide receiver during the 1997-2000 seasons. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 2000.
After graduation, Jason searched for a career that was business focused, but also filled his passion for fitness. His first job out of college was with a health club chain where he gained some great practical business experience opening and operating fitness facilities. When the opportunity was presented to both own and operate the fifth location his boss was franchising, Jason and his wife Kelley jumped on it. Thus began the journey into what would shape and define Jason’s sought-after approach to fitness clubs.
During the next few years, Jason owned and operated health clubs that had state of the art equipment, a comfortable environment, and a great price point. Though the locations were successful, the constant turnover in membership really bothered Jason. Fitness Premier 24/7 was conceived to address that issue. Jason created a model that had all the great features of traditional clubs but with a focus on results-oriented, individual success plans, tailored to help clients reach their fitness goals.
Since the beginning, Fitness Premier has worked hard to maintain the “family” type of culture Jason feels is important to a supportive fitness environment. He and his team focus intently on attention to detail and really finding out what clients were looking for. To that end, Jason has personally worked every position at Fitness Premier; from the front desk, the cleaning crew, kid’s room, sales, marketing, HR, real estate selection, and being a trainer.
Jason also leads Fitness Premier’s One Team One Dream Mastermind Group with all key leaders within the company. One of Jason’s driving beliefs is that we all have things in this life we want to accomplish and he finds it more enjoyable to create success with others.
Jason and Kelley were married in 2003 and have two children, Chase and Kynzi. He loves coaching his children in sports and being very active in his family life.
