I'm a lifelong, award-winning entrepreneur and author of Ageless Startup: Start a Business at Any Age. I am currently cofounder of the nonprofit Center for Ageless Entrepreneurs, built to support and enable entrepreneurs in the second half of life.
Did you know most startups in the U.S. are launched by people aged 45 and older? There are more than 25 million people in the U.S. between ages 40 and 65 want to start their own business but don’t know how. You can help them transition from working for someone else to working for themselves.
My companies have lasted at least 40 years, 25 years, 15 years, and 10 years. One of these was the smallest company ever awarded Fast Company's 'Fast 50' Award, now called the World's 50 Most Innovative Companies. I was also awarded the U.S. Small Business New Product of the Year, which I accomplished with only 4 employees, though our products were used on 5 continents. I was awarded a Purpose Prize Fellowship by AARP, whose tagline is 'making a difference is ageless'.
