A clean and sober boomer with a great sense of humor, I've been an active medical social worker and heavy-hitter psychotherapist for forty years. Also, I teach at small workshops, and have created a writing life as well. My book, The Courage to Trust (New Harbinger), has sold over 40,000 copies. I have audio recordings of it and of two other guided visualizations. I read neuroscience and self-improvement books the way others devour mysteries, and apply the principles to my own life (which includes intermittent fasting and other lifestyle changes to boost physical and mental well-being) as well as to my clients' lives. I love to help people grow their ideas from egg to butterfly. My Extraordinary Experiences: Recently widowed, I helped my late husband with the legal "End of Life/Aid in Dying" medications available in California. I've engaged in hospice work as a volunteer (as well as professionally) for nearly fifty years. I co-facilitated a parents' grief-support group for thirty years, in person and then via Zoom during the Covid pandemic. For four years, I've lived amazingly well with stage-4 cancer. I'm being treated at Stanford: three surgeries and oral chemo. I believe I still have a ways to go, and want to encourage others to not be afraid of a cancer diagnosis.

How did you manage to accomplish that? You are on Substack. What has been your experience? Why do you want to be a guest on my show?
I've been on Amy Zelmer's "Faces of TBI" to talk about my own, as well as professional view of mild brain injuries.
